Eye pain

Eye pain – pain behind the eyes – pressure behind the eyes

The temple muscle slides behind the eye socket. This muscle is used to clench the teeth. Sometimes it becomes tense or spastic, causing pain or pressure behind the eye. The first step is to consult an optometrist or physician to make sure that the eye has no obvious disease. If the medical side doesn’t provide an answer, temporal muscle tension becomes the most frequent cause of these pains.

Pressure in the temporal muscle is treated with an occlusal plate or by balancing the teeth.
